Unsecured! Whoa, some one needs to do some serious investigation here! Look at the Property Card, the Tax Code is listed as an “Act of Legislation” and the house itself (which is on the historic registry) has a value listed as $3,300. Something really terrible must have gone down here. It has been suggested to me that perhaps somebody had a meth lab in the house, which purportedly turns a house into a brown field/superfund site. Any help on this would be really appreciated. A real mystery!

Not sure about the meth lab creating a superfund site. Some of the chemicals are pretty harsh, but there is so much nonsense in the “War on drugs” it is hard to know what to believe. Remember whan baby food was being stolen because it could be used in drug preparation? My favorite drug rumor has always been the one about kids on LSD looking at the sun and burning their eyes out.
But, I do know about “condemned”, that is very bad. It is usually not sufficient to simply repair it, the entire building must be brought up to code plumbing, heat, wiring etc. Sometimes a deal can be cut.
