What is this building? Tax code says it’s good for a two – five family residence. I have my doubts. And stucco. It’s always wrong. Wrong, wrong, wrong. I vote to take this one down.

I vote yes with you but I like stucco. Maybe they were going for that Mediterranean feel? After all, a huge chunk of Providence was made up of Italian immigrants, so perhaps that’s where the idea came from? Its a little bland and boxy though, isn’t it?
Stucco’s been patched
The type of block used in the construction, combined with the stucco, does suggest European influence. Although it appears original here, stucco was frequently used as a cover up in the way vinyl siding is today.
