Three story gutted into about ten apartment units some time ago. Significant fire damage. Still wondering why the garbage has not been picked up.
Off Bridgham St, one of the inner West End’s worst offenders.

The trash pile out front is only getting bigger as people realize its a good place to dump their unwanted rubble etc. Ridiculous, been like this for over 9 months I think, families live on both sides.
Not surprised about the fire. 10 apartments? I notice there is only one electric meter. That was cut into really tiny apartments, generally that does not attract the best tenants. Looking at the burn marks, I suspect it was all in a one room apartment. I suspect it was a rooming house and someone was using an electric hot plate, or similar.
I tried to renovate a rooming house once (PC term is “SRO”). I thought it was empty but one of the tenants was in jail. He got out and found that his room was gone, so he torched the place. It had been gutted except for the hallways, it burned so hot that when they threw water on it the brick spalled.
As of the 17th the piles of trash are gone, the 18th there was a crew there working on the house- not sure if they were just cleaning but they were inside working. Finally.
Would like to know the story with the work. Place sold? The city?
