Work has begun! A crew is now gutting this house. Apparently the owner feels it's worth renovating vice demolishing.

A recent visitor to our neighbors downstairs told me that he locates Doyle Avenue by the sight of this house. I'm not surprised. This house extends the farthest toward the sidewalk--its porch almost touching the sidewalk--so that the casual eye of a motorist driving up Doyle, heading east, falls first on this eyesore. And at night, the streetlight on that part of the street stands directly across from it, rendering it illuminated more than any other house on that part of the street. I expect that when this place is either removed or completely re-built, the entire Doyle Avenue will benefit.

Woa Stu. Great comments. I changed the notes on the right to reflect as such on the dates.

So has it been in this state for 3+ years now? Anyone ever working on it? The garage is full of metal as if someone is saving up for a scrap run.

I've lived across the road from this house for almost 9 years.

To be honest I can't say I miss the occupants much - one memory is a man on the porch changing the diaper of a child and throwing the old one into the middle of the street.
Of course my access to narcotics and prostitution isn't as convenient as once was. And I do miss the 3am booming car sound systems parked in front.

Correction to your notes, most definitely not recently torched. Went up in flames Dec 24th 2005 I believe.
