This is right across the street from me. Somebody’s recently started working on it again, trying to spiff it up a bit. I just hope it stays NOT ON FIRE. I’m traumatized by a house fire a couple of nights ago, just at the corner of Penn and Almy. That house might end up on this site soon–depending on how the ruins are dealt with.
I lived next to a 3-decker in Cambridge that caught fire. Truly frightening, all of that 100 year old wood combined with no fire stops, it seemed to be fully engulfed within 5 minutes.
